Psychology Services

Empathic and collaborative care, tailored to your unique needs.

Assessment

Psychological assessments can be conducted for a variety of reasons. People may seek psychological assessment for personal insight to distress and dysfunction, but may also be referred for psychological assessment for insurance, disability, employment, or treatment purposes.

Assessments vary in length based on the type of assessment, as well as the nature of the psychological testing and the report required. A cost estimate for an assessment will be provided upon review of a formal request for the assessment that details the goals, requirements, and funding responsibility of the assessment. My current assessment rate is $265/hour.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Traumatic Stress Disorders, including Operational Stress Injuries and Psychological Injuries

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Mood Disorders

  • Employment-Related Assessments

Treatment

Psychotherapy can be helpful for a variety of concerns, including mental health disorders, but also difficulties coping with life stressors or transitions (e.g., infertility, work stress, loss). A referral from a physician is not required to engage in psychotherapy and the length and frequency of treatment will vary based on individual concerns.

Individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled for 60 minutes (50 minutes for treatment and 10 minutes for documentation and treatment planning), but may vary depending on the nature of your concerns and the agreed upon treatment plan. My current psychotherapy rate is $250/hour.

Consultation assists with ongoing client care when done with other health service providers or insurance providers. Consultation regarding client care is only ever done with the express permission of clients.

Consultation can also assist with ongoing organizational stressors or potentially traumatic events that may impact individual well-being. My current consultation rate is $250/hour.

Location

As part of a professional commitment to make mental health services more accessible to rural areas, I offer virtual services across Saskatchewan. Virtual services can be done via secure video-conferencing or telephone. I also have an office location in Regina, SK, for in-person services.

Payments

Payments for services can be made via e-transfer or credit-card. I do not offer direct billing to insurance companies, but many insurance plans offer coverage for psychological services. Upon receipt of payment I will issue you a receipt that can be submitted to your insurance provider for full or partial coverage (review the specific coverage details with your insurance provider).

Ready to Start or Still Unsure?

Seeking psychology services can be intimidating, so it can be helpful to know what to expect.

During our initial session, I will gather background information regarding your health, lifestyle, relationships, work, presenting concerns, and treatment goals. I will provide feedback on what I think could be contributing to your difficulties and make suggestions for evidence-based therapy, including the amount and frequency of sessions. We will collaboratively agree on a treatment plan and then work on building skills to foster a more resilient version of yourself, equipped to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I have extensive experience working with clients new to psychology services and part of industries afflicted with mental health stigma (e.g., Canadian Armed Forces, emergency services agencies, agriculture sector). Accordingly, I will pace our progression with your engagement and comfort level.

Finding the right psychologist for your concerns is instrumental to your success.

I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation to help determine whether I could be a good fit for your concerns.  Please fill out the form below to schedule your free consultation or book a session.
